I get a lot of questions about the various goings-on in and around Nashville when people come through town. Nashville is a vibrant city, full of talented people and terrific live entertainment. Since we are located in East Nashville, I often refer people to some of the great spots we have over here in the eastern corner of the city. However, it is important to remember 1 thing when looking for entertainment in Nashville: It’s not all country music!
One of the best spots to see live music in East Nashville is The Five Spot. It has been featured on ABC’s Nashville, and it has a weekly lineup of music and events that will bring lots of fun to your time in Nashville. fooBAR is an East Nashville staple that features a large variety of music to satisfy just about any taste. There are also numerous basement concerts in the area, but you’ll have to be in the know to know where they are! 😉
It’s not all music here on the east side of Music City. Logue’s Black Raven Emporium features Cult Fiction Underground movie nights every Friday and Saturday night. Bohéme Collectif’ Art House offers space for local artists of all types to showcase their singular talents. Remember, Nashville is a great place to see some really talented people do what they do best.
If you love food, you are going to marvel at the food choices in East Nashville. Margo Cafe is a highly regarded cafe that serves fine French and Italian cuisine. You may also want to check into Lockland Table and The Silly Goose for farm-to-table goodness. There are dozens of other terrific places to eat in our city’s unparalleled food scene.
If you are coming through Nashville and you want a unique place to stay, call me at (615) 256-8375. My Bed & Breakfast will put you directly in the center of one of the most lively areas of Nashville. You will always remember your time in Music City!
